Derya is a NLP/ML manager and an operations research analyst with more than 9 years of experience in data analytics in humanitarian aid. Her passion is to analyze processes and to develop data-driven solutions and decision-making tools for humanitarian aid. Throughout her career, she always mapped and analysed complex processes; developed and implemented innovative solutions with a challenge to change traditional systems. She worked in international and multicultural projects from supplier to end-mile with Médecins Sans Frontiers (MSF), IDA Foundation and Pendulum Global (Macro-Eyes) as a product and project manager specialised in bringing ML based solutions to the processes. She is excited to explore and develop the power of humanitarian data in improving the lives of communities in conflict and distress. Besides her professional life, she is a ecological and climate activist, a clarinet and didgeridoo player.
